Background
Cranleigh Stem has worked closely alongside BioChek UK for over 8 years supporting their growth and development from a small laboratory facility in West London employing under 10 people to a modern state-of-the-art, purpose-built site in Berkshire which over 60 employees operate from.
Challenge
At the beginning of 2021 BioChek had no defined HR function and with a clear need to continue to grow the number of employees operating across the business they appointed Cranleigh Stem to manage all of the company’s recruitment within an RPO agreement.
Solution
Working closely with the General Manager for the site, Cranleigh Stem set about putting a robust and streamlined recruitment system in place to help relieve pressure from hiring managers, improve the company’s time to hire and secure the best talent for the business in what was a very completive candidate market.
Result
The outcome from the RPO implementation was that from the beginning of 2021, 27 employees were successfully hired into the business across the following departments:
- R&D
- Manufacturing
- Technical Support
- HR
- Finance
- Marketing
- Supply Chain
The stats for the number of candidate interview leading to a hire have also improved with an average now of 3 interviews leading to a successful appointment across all areas of the business.
Cranleigh Stem continue to work closely with BioChek and the company’s new HR Manager to drive forward efficiencies in recruitment and employee retention across all areas of the business.
