Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Full-Time)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Location: Based near Horsham (with site travel)
Reporting to: Business Unit Managers & Group H&S Manager
Role Summary
This is a temporary opportunity to support Group-wide Health & Safety compliance and improvement. The postholder will assist in maintaining the Health & Safety Management System, ensuring legal compliance, conducting audits, promoting safe practices, and supporting operational teams across various sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and monitoring of the H&S Management System
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and site visits
- Carry out risk assessments and assist in RAMS development
- Lead or support incident investigations and reporting
- Monitor and report on H&S performance and statistics
- Deliver toolbox talks and internal H&S training
- Liaise with external auditors, clients, and subcontractors
- Support H&S input into project tenders and meetings
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); Diploma-level qualification desirable
- Relevant H&S experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and HSE guidance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- CSCS Card and UK Driving Licence required
