A leading materials testing laboratory based in Ledbury is seeking a Lab Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day laboratory services, driving business growth and ensuring technical excellence. This is a key leadership role, focused on managing operations and enhancing quality standards.
Laboratory Operations Manager responsibilities:
- Laboratory Operations & Quality:
- Take overall responsibility for the laboratory’s technical operations.
- Implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap Materials Testing standards.
- Continuously improve services for internal and external customers.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead and manage a diverse technical team.
- Work closely with senior leadership, including the Technical Director, Head of Quality, and Operations Director.
- Engage with accreditation bodies and key industry partners.
Laboratory Operations Manager requirements:
- Education & Expertise:
- Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Engineering (preferred).
- Strong background in metals/materials testing.
- Experience in the aerospace or metals production industry is beneficial.
- Industry & Quality Standards:
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap accreditation.
- Understanding of Ni alloys or other major alloy systems is a plus.
