Trainee Production Operative – Speciality Fuels Industry
We’re working with a specialist fuel blending facility that’s seeking a motivated Trainee Production Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch or build your career in a unique and technical manufacturing environment supplying the automotive, aerospace, and motorsport sectors. You’ll be part of a collaborative production team, working to execute blending operations and support daily site activities while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
About the Role
As a Trainee Production Operative, you’ll work across a variety of site operations – from managing tanker deliveries to executing blending plans and maintaining site housekeeping. You’ll be trained to handle plant machinery, follow precise operating procedures, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safety. This hands-on role offers shift-based working and the chance to develop expertise in a niche, regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute blending and product movement operations according to daily schedules
- Support safe and efficient tanker receipts, despatches, and decanting activities
- Maintain housekeeping and waste handling standards across the site
- Care for equipment and follow maintenance routines using MRS systems
- Assist in emergency response duties and act as a fire marshal (training provided)
- Communicate with your team to troubleshoot blending issues and suggest improvements
- Translate written work instructions into practical operational tasks

Previous experience in production or with stock management systems is an advantage, but not essential — full training will be provided.
Salary, Benefits & Location
- Salary: £37,750 per annum (shift allowance included)
- Shifts: Rotating 3-weekly pattern
- Earlies: 5:00am – 1:30pm
- Lates: 1:00pm – 9:30pm
- Nights: 9:00pm – 5:30am
- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
- Bonus: 10% discretionary annual bonus
