Senior Design Engineer
Responsibilities:

  • Create design requirements and identify technical risk areas.
  • Deliver robust design solutions aligned to fundamental design criteria.
  • Develop 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for components, assemblies, test rigs and fixtures.
  • Take ownership of assemblies/components, driving design activity across multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Deliver parts, assemblies and systems from concept through to proof-of-principle.
  • Generate innovative concepts with strong IP potential while considering freedom-to-operate.


Senior Design Engineer
Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline, with strong industrial experience in mechanical and/or reactor system design.
  • Ability to perform hand calculations to support early-stage design and validate simulation outputs.
  • High proficiency in 3D CAD tools & a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding of physical failure modes and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Ability to perform structural FEA.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of high-temperature chemical reactor design.
  • Experience with chemical reaction modelling or heat exchanger design.
  • Experience using ANSYS Workbench or manufacturing process simulation tools.
